PROBLEM

1: GLOBAL WARMING

RESEARCH

What can be done? (simple, easy, everyday actions)

  1. reduce energy use
  2. reduce, reuse, recycle
    1. reduce → reuse (not only plastic, but using too much paper also pollutes the environment by cutting too many trees)
    2. ALWAYS recycle
      1. 67% of adult Canadians have at least 1 cup of coffee (avg. 3 per day) — https://recyclebc.ca/coffeecups/
      2. some people get confused when recycling, so usually end up throwing everything in the trash → posters near recycling bins to help remind where to put what

This is what stops people from recycling more, finds a global survey

Why is it not being done?

Untitled

  1. lack of programs/services to enable recycling
  2. not knowing how to participate in recycling programs
  3. inconvenience of recycling
  4. lack of trust in recycling programs
